My practice has been focused on litigation and trials since I was sworn in as an attorney over seventeen years ago.  I developed a firm interest in criminal law and civil rights litigation during my first year of law school and, by my third year, represented clients through the student practice rules in both Vermont and New Hampshire.  My practice involves the investigation and defense of criminal allegations, including but not limited to assaults, possession of controlled drugs, homicides, and sexual abuse allegations.  I also maintain DUI defense, civil rights and personal injury practices.  My civil rights cases generally involve violations of due process, free speech limitations/retaliation, unlawful searches/arrests, malicious prosecution, excessive force, prisoner's rights, prison medical malpractice, and discrimination, but I am open to hearing about and considering any case that may involve unlawful government action.
